PH5 uses yarns coated in photochromic dye that respond to UV exposure. With proper care, the UV reactive effect is designed to last. Like all specialty fabrics, longevity depends on how the garment is maintained: gentle cold water washing, avoiding bleach, harsh detergents and avoiding excessive sun exposure will help preserve its performance. Pieces can become “sunburnt” if left in the sun for too long, simply storing them in a cupboard is enough to protect them.
